I'm not one to brag... unless we're talking about my incredible God, Jesus Christ, and this amazing country, America. Seriously, without the freedom we have here, my immigrant family wouldn't have experienced some truly epic stuff:
- We wouldn't have had our beloved pets Daisy (may she rest in peace), Blinky, and Bentley joining us for beach adventures every darn day for nearly a decade.
- Our family wouldn't have been able to travel the world together, making memories for the past two decades. Yeah, we've got some serious wanderlust.
- Expressing our opinions without people losing their minds and unfriending us? Yeah, that's a perk we enjoy thanks to this country's freedom.
- Oh, and we've got a genius in the family. Our summa cum laude graduate is now a scholar at Virginia Tech. Boom!
- Retirement? Living the good life? You bet! Thanks to the opportunities here, we're enjoying a decent retirement and staying healthy.
I'd also like to give a shout-out to my Dad up above for this independence day. Let's keep our freedom intact and not let those 1% Goliaths take it away from us. Who's with me?
So this 4th of July, don't call it that, celebrate our freedom,
